Liam Howlett

Liam Paris Howlett was born on August 21st, 1971; he is the founding member of the British group The Prodigy.

Liam Howlett begins its musical career at the end of the Eighties as DJ in a group of hip-hop called Cut To Kill. Excluded from the group, it decides to be directed towards the house and turnips. DJ in a club called " The Barn" , it quickly becomes famous in its native Essex (England). It is on this occasion that it meets Leeroy Thornhill and Keith Flint. A friend, Ziggy, organize a mini-concert in 1990. 250 people attend the first concert of the Prodigy…

Their first individual What Evil Lurks is sold with 7000 specimens. Indicator that the things become serious, Sharky decides to leave the group. The Prodigy occurs in a whole series of clubs in order to emphasize their scenic performance of ravers. Their powerful and single shows hold obviously the attention of the public.

Their second individual, Charly, which contains a sample of a film of information for children of the BBC, is an enormous success. They leave then Everybody In The Place, Fire and Out Of Space, their international first hit. In November 1992, they leave finally their first album: The Prodigy Experiment.

They then decide to change style with individual One Love'. Liam is interested in new groups like Nirvana, Green Day, The Smashing Pumpkins. They leave then the hit No good (Start The Dance) and, in 1994, their second album, Music For The Jilted Generation, past to more than one million specimens. The Prodigy begins a world tour and their two other individual Voodoo People and Poison prolong their success.

Firestarter

In 1996, nobody misses their return with Firestarter, the new look of Keith with his many piercings and multicoloured hair as well as the extravagant lenses of Maxim.

A hit follows another from there: Breathe is sold with more than 700.000 copies in the world. The Prodigy change tone once again: the words are more rebellious and Keith is invested as much as Maxim in the song. Individual Smack My Bitch Up is banished screens for its provocative clip produced by Jonas Akerlund. The third album, The Fat Off The Land is sold with more than 3 million specimens.

Since then, the group was essential a small station-wagon during which Liam left an album mix, The Dirtchamber Session Volume 1, which had its small success. Leeroy left the group to be implied in its project Flightcrank solo, Keith takes part in races of motor bikes and Maxim leaves at the beginning of October 2000 its first album solo Hells Kitchen.

August 23rd, 2004 leaves Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned which announces with crash the return of Liam Howlett. In September 2005, the group leaves Their Law: The Individual 1990-2005, a disc best off of about thirty pieces taking again all the individual ones which made the success of the group and including remixes and news.
