Wing of pigeon: Term indicating a catch of ball. The player controls, deviates or strikes the balloon with the outside of the foot or the heel whereas the balloon is in suspension.

Catenaccio : Italian Terme (meaning lock literally) which indicates a very rigorous defensive system reinforced by a libéro.

Caviar: decisive Passe which is synonymous with easy goal for the player placed in position to mark a goal.

Center: Consists in sending the balloon in the penalty area since the sides to seek an attacker, either in the air for a head, or with ground strong current for a resumption of the foot. 4-5-1: a tactic with more defensive vocation, resting on 4 defenders, 5 medium grounds and 1 only attacker. However, this tactic became increasingly offensive, in particular thanks to the trainer Frank Rijkaard. It was the tactics mainly used by Raymond Domenech at the time of the world cup 2006. It is used to block the unfavourable attacks as of the medium ground for an effective counter-attack.
