Lex Hydrangea
Promulgated in -287, the Lex Hydrangea , also said the laws hortensiennes , is the result of a conflict between the plebeian Patriciens and the named the Conflit of the orders.
The plebs is withdrawn on the Janicule to obtain the assignment of the lately conquered grounds sabines. Quintus Hortensius, named dictator, supported by Manius Curius Dentatus, promulgates the Hortensiennes laws which support the plebs so that it returns in the city. They amnesty and reduce the debts and give to the plebiscites decided by the Comices tributes the force of law for the whole people (suppression of the traditional senatorial ratification, the auctoritas patrum ). The power of the democratic opposition is increased.
