Beginnings

Born from a father originating in Grenade and from an English mother, Lewis Hamilton begin with the Karting at the 8 years age. First season at McLaren

Announced like one of future the stars of Formula 1, the Lewis Hamilton joined in 2007 the stable McLaren - Mercedes at the sides of Fernando Alonso.

The July 21st, at the time of the last part of the qualifications of GP of Europe disputed on the Nürburgring, it is victim of a violent route exit caused by the bursting of a tire (probably following the bad fixing of the one of its wheels because of the failure of an air gun) in a fast curve and strikes of face a wall of tires. But after having carried out the pole position with GP of China and to have carried out the first part of the race disputed with climatic conditions random, Lewis Hamilton is victim of a bad tactic consisting in remaining too a long time tracks some with tires used to the cord. It should be noted that one generally allots the first position to Michael Schumacher, because George Amick disputed one Grand Prix.

Anecdotes

Lewis Hamilton (of which the complete first name is Lewis Carl) was fore-mentioned thus in homage to the famous American athlete Carl Lewis.
Lewis Hamilton carries a yellow helmet in homage to his/her father who always supported it. When it evolved/moved in karting, his/her father wanted to be able to locate it by far: he thus carried a helmet of bright color, which he since never left.
Following the example its team-member at McLaren, Fernando Alonso, Lewis is a large fan of Ayrton Senna. He also declared that he was a large fan of Michael Schumacher and wished to control against him in 2007.
