Leval-Trahegnies

Leval-Trahegnies (in Walloon Al Vå ) is a section of the Belgian city of Binche located in Walloon region in the Province of Hainaut.
It was a commune with whole share before the fusion of the communes of 1977. It is made up of two parishes: Saint Pierre with Leval (Vau) and Holy Martin with Trahegnies (Tragnières). As its name indicates it, Leval-Trahegnies is coiled in a valley, the valley of Hatred.
The limit of the two parishes has as a border the brook " The riau". This last marks also the border between the zones of the Walloon and Picardy speech.
Between 1905 and 1914, archaeological excavations with the locality of Short the made it possible to discover Celtic tombs where one could put at the day several accessories of which a pin of axle, three rings of reins as well as ceramics of beautiful qualities. This whole of discovery is allotted to third century BC
