Leulinghen-Bernes is a common French, located in the department of the Pas-de-Calais and the area Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
Geography
History
In the Pas-de-Calais, halfway between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Calais is located Leulinghen-Bernes, commune of 409 inhabitants indexed among young people of the Canton of Marchioness with 30.7% of its elderly population of less than 20 years.
Owing to the fact that the Anglo-French border crossed its church at the beginning of XVe century, the girl of Charles VI, Catherine de Valois, married Henri V there five years after the battle of Azincourt.
Today, Leulinghen-Bernes perpetuates this event in particular by the installation of a commemorative plaque, and by demonstrations taking as a starting point the Middle Ages.
Its economy rests on agriculture, the exploitation of the basement by the Careers of Bolted and the activity of its tradesmen and craftsmen.
