Letters with Sophie

the Letters with Sophie are a collection of the correspondence maintained between Mirabeau, then in captivity with the Donjon of Vincennes, and Sophie de Ruffey. This correspondence, where Jean-Charles-Pierre Lenoir, general lieutenant of the police force of Paris, plays a great part, were published after 1789 by Pierre Louis Manuel, former administrator of the count de Mirabeau.
