History

The foundation of Lesneven goes back to the Early middle ages with the primitive parish of Notre-Dame to which will join, later, that of Saint-Michel. Equipped with an imposing castle-extremely (XIIIè century) which one still guesses the ditches, Lesneven was, during all Middle Ages, the military capital of the counts de Léon.
