Leone Strozzi

Leone Strozzi (October 18th 1515 - Scarlino June 28th 1554) is an Italian condottiere of the florentine family Strozzi.

Wire of Filippo Strozzi and Clarice de Médicis (House of Médicis) it takes refuge in France with his brothers of which Pierre Strozzi after the defeat of their father to the battle of Montemurlo.

He is knight of the Ordre of Malta since 1530, then Prieur of Capoue and Commandeur of San Jacopo in Campo Corbolini. In 1536, it is named ordering galères of the order, charges that it will find in 1552. He is ambassador of the order in Constantinople in 1544. He is named admiral of the navy of French war. He is distinguished in many campaigns at the time of the war against Spain and England.
