Charles Leonard Woolley , more known under the name of Sir Leonard Woolley , born the April 17th 1880 with London, dead the February 20th 1960, was a British Archéologue , which devoted fifteen years of its life, of 1919 with 1934, to excavate the site of the antique Ur (Mésopotamie, on the territory of current the Iraq).
Previously he had been the assistant of Arthur John Evans.
He also worked near the Ashmolean Museum, of 1905 with 1907.
