Leonard Eron
Leonard David Eron or Leonard Eron (born the April 22nd 1920 with Newark, New Jersey, the United States and dead the May 3rd 2007 with Lindenhurst, Illinois, the United States), is a Psychologue American, known for its work on the violence of the young people and in particular on the influence of violence on television on the children.
Biography
Leonard Eron undertakes his academic works in 1938 off with the City University New York ( CUNY ), then from 1941 with 1946 with the Université of Columbia, and obtains in 1949 his doctorate with the Université of Wisconsin.
He occupies then of many stations of teaching and research:
- 1948 - 1960: University of Yale, department of psychiatry.
- 1955 - 1962: Research director and psychologist of the Foundation RIP Van Winkle (Hudson, New York)
- 1962 - 1969: University of Iowa, director of the department of Psychology and the training program in Clinic psychology.
- 1969 - 1990: University of Illinois to Chicago, professor, director of the training program in Clinic psychology and the office of the services of Psychology applied.
- starting from 1990: University of Michigan.
