Pierre François Leon Duchesne of Sicotière , born the February 3rd 1812 with Valframbert and dead the February 28th 1895 with Alençon, is a lawyer, Politician and Historien French.

After studies with the college of Alençon, it follows courses of right to the Université of Caen. In 1835, he becomes lawyer with the bar of Alençon. City council man then to advise district, it resigns of its functions at the time of the Coup d'etat of December 2nd, 1851. General adviser in 1862, it is Député of the Orne of 1871 with 1876 and Senator of 1876 with 1896.

Bibliophile and collector, it is impassioned for the history and writes many works of scholarship. It founds the Company of horticulture in 1847, the Museum of the fine arts and the lace of Alençon in 1857, the historical and archaeological Société of the Flowering ash in 1882, then the Company of modern history in 1890.
