Leon Robin (1866-1947) was a historian of ancient philosophy. Professor with the Sorbonne (1913-1936), it in particular directed the translation of the work complete of Plato (Gallimard, " Library of Pléiade"). Raise and disciple of Octave Hamelin, it ensured with Brunschvicg the diffusion of his ideas and the publication of his works.
Impossible to circumvent, its studies on the présocratiques ones and Plato renewed the study of Greek philosophy.
