Leon Lecornu , born the January 13rd 1854 with Caen and dead the November 13rd 1940 with Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, is a Engineer French.

After its secondary studies with the college of Caen, Leon Lecornu obtains his diploma for the occupation of engineer to the Polytechnic school in 1872. In 1893, it is named professor with the Faculté of Caen, then with the school of the mines in 1900 and at the Polytechnic school 1904.

He is elected member of the Academy of Science in 1910 (section of mechanics).

He is the brother of Joseph Lecornu.
