Leon Lahaye
Leon Lahaye (February 24th 1857 with Liege - May 17th 1943) is an archivist and Belgian scholar .
It makes its studies with the college Saint-Were useful, then as from 1874 with the Faculty of philosophy, letters and right of the university of Liege, where it also follows courses of history which one had just inaugurated.
After a passage by the bar, it becomes in 1885 Conservative of the Deposit of files of the State de Namur.
In May 1906 it becomes responsible for the files of the State in Liege.
Member of the Company of the Bibliophiles Inhabitant of Li2ege in 1887, then vice-president, he becomes President in 1914 about it.
Author in 1931, Company of the bibliophiles Inhabitant of Li2ege, Analysis of the acts contained in the registers of Scel of the graces , and of many publications in the Bulletin of this company, that of the archaeological Institute inhabitant of Li2ege, the Company of art and history of the diocese of Liege and many others. It also dealt with the copy of noble genealogies of families contained in 25 volumes forming the first part of famous Fonds the Fort.
It makes a fall in its library and dies one month later on May 17th, 1943.
