Leon Fairmaire

Leon Marc Herminie Fairmaire is a Entomologiste French, born the June 29th 1820 with Paris and dead on April 1st 1906 in this same city.

Specialist in the coleopters as well European as foreign, it gathers an immense collection which was compared with that of the count Pierre François Marie Auguste Dejean (1780-1845). It is currently preserved at the national Muséum of natural history. It makes appear nearly 450 publications.
