Leo Smit

Leo Smit , (* May 14th 1900 with Amsterdam; † killed the April 30th 1943 with Sobibor) is a Dutch type-setter and pianist.

Biography

Leo Smit studied the composition with the Academy of Amsterdam with Sem Dresden and the Piano with Ulfert Schults.

Influenced by Claude Debussy and Albert Roussel, Smit composed of works for orchestra and the chamber music. Its works are regularly played since the end of the year 1980.
