Lenticular Os
The lenticular bone is the third of the four Osselets of the average Oreille which allows the transmission and the amplification of the sound vibrations. It owes its name with its shape of small lens. It is the smallest bone of the human body.
It is in contact with the anvil and the clamp and forms with them the articulation incudo-stapédienne.
In the human ear its average weight is included/understood between 0,12 and 0,20 Mg, and its average diameter lies between 0,5 and 0,8 Misters.
