Lense-Thirring effect

In Astrophysical, the effect Lense-Thirring (also called frame-dragging in English) is a phenomenon predicted by the theory of the General relativity of Albert Einstein and which would be detectable around objects in very fast rotation and/or in a gravitational Champ extremely extremely, as around a Black hole.

Presentation

According to the General relativity, in the neighborhoods of a body with a kinetic Moment very extremely, the space and the Temps “are to some extent involved” with the rotation movement (as a boat “would be involved” by a swirl). This effect was discovered for the first time in 1918 by the Austrian Physicien S Jospeh Lense and Hans Thirring in their work on general relativity. The Lense-Thirring effect is extremely weak. That implies that it is observable only around one object in rotation with a very strong gravitational field, like a Black hole. The other possibility is to build an extremely sensitive instrument. It is the case with the mission of the satellite Gravity Probe B , launched in 2004, by NASA.
