Leninsk (oblast of Volgograd)
Leninsk (in Russian: Ле́нинск) is a city of the Oblast of Volgograd, in Russia. It is on left bank of the river Akhtouba (basin of the Don), to 55 km in the east of Volgograd. Its population rose with: 14866 inhabitants in 2002.
Leninsk was created in 1802 under the name of Prichibinskoïe (Пришибинское), later famous Prichib (Пришиб). The village became Leninsk in 1919 and accepted the statute of city in 1963.
