Lemniscomys barbarus
Formerly very present until the periphery of the big cities, the rat striped of cruelty is still rather frequent in the campaigns Morocco groins. It does not seem to be regarded as vermin, perhaps because of its fear of the Rat (rattus rattus), and thus avoids approaching the man. Curiously, he often attends the stony beds located under the supports of railways. So certain zoologists catalog it like night animal, it was easy to surprise of them whole colonies in full day in the years 1970 in the suburbs of Casablanca.
