Leivonmäki is a municipality center-south of the Finland, in the area of Finland-Power station.
The commune is located at the east of the lake Päijänne, with only one small outlet on the lake on the level of Rutalahti. The ground is broken and the municipality is largely unsuitable in agriculture, glaze of forests, marsh and Esker S. One finds the national park there even name.
The village center is crossed by main road 4 (E75), the North-South main axe of the country. The regional capital, Jyväskylä, are distant of 52 km.
The municipality is bordered by Joutsa in the south, Luhanka in south-west, Korpilahti in the west, Toivakka in north, and finally Kangasniemi in the east (Savonie of the South).
