Leif Ove Andsnes
Leif Ove Andsnes (born with Karmøy the April 7th 1970) is a Norwegian Pianiste .
He studies the piano with the Academy of music of Bergen with Jiří Hlinka, then in Belgium at Jacques de Tiège.
He recorded works of Edvard Grieg, Robert Schumann and Frederic Chopin, Lieder of Franz Schubert with Ian Bostridge, of the sonatas of Schubert and Leoš Janáček, the sonatas of piano and violin of Béla Bartók with Christian Tetzlaff.
He also recorded concertos of Mozart and Haydn with the Norwegian Chamber orchestra, the concertos of Rachmaninov with Paavo Berglund and Antonio Pappano, the second concerto of Béla Bartók with Pierre Boulez.
In 2004-2005, it gave seven recitals to the Carnegie Hall of New York. In 2007, it receives the price Peer Gynt, decreed by the Parliament of Norway.
