Legislative elections of 2007 in the Midday-Pyrenees
The area the Midday-Pyrenees is traditionally on the left, it is a historical bastion of radicalism. Moreover, the District council of the Midday-Pyrenees is held by the Socialist party and, at the 2nd turn of the presidential election, Ségolène Royal arrived at the head in the area with more than 53% of the voices.
However, the area does not vote uniformly: the Aveyron and the Tarn-et-Garonne are rather acquired with the right-hand side.
Ariège (09)
Ariège includes/understands two districts which are in general acquired with an hegemonic socialist party in this department. At the time of the presidential election of 2007 Ségolène Royal did one of best the score of France with 59,56% compared with 40,44% with Nicolas Sarkozy. For the legislative ones of 2007, in addition to the traditional political clouts which all will be represented, this department will be to supervise for a characteristic: there will be (as well as in the Hollow one) lists of extreme left on all the department, but also a unit list antilibérale on the two districts (EQUAL 09).

Aveyron (12)
See also: List of the deputies of Aveyron
Aveyron is acquired in theory with the right-hand side. The three outgoing deputies belong to the UMP. However, with the 2nd turn of the presidential election, the advance collected by Nicolas Sarkozy is weak (50,83% compared with 49,17% with Ségolène Royal) if one compares it with the preceding elections. Ségolène Royal arrived at the head in the three principal cities of the department, Rodez, Villefranche de Rouergue and Millau, however held by the UMP, like in the 2ème district. Certain changes in the department are thus possible, the more so as the UMP share divided in the 1ère district, and that the good scores of Francois Bayrou in the department let predict the triangular behavior of to the 2ème turn.

Haute-Garonne (31)
The Haute-Garonne vote traditionally on the left, also 6 outgoing deputies out of 8 are socialist. The two only districts held by the line are those which are made up only of cantons of the town of Toulouse. However, the line is not sure to preserve these two seats, the more so as at the 2nd turn of the presidential election, Ségolène Royal arrived largely at the head in all the districts, precisely carrying out its best scores in these two districts. If the left managed to charm the 1e district, which is traditionally that of the mayors of Toulouse, and was held by Pierre Baudis and Dominique Baudis before being it by Philippe Douste-Blazy, it is clear that would constitute an important political event on the local plan, for next the municipal elections.Description of the districts
