The legislative Body was a legislative assembled French instituted by the Constitution of the 22 frimaire year VIII and maintained by the organic senatus consult of Thermidor 16 year X and the organic senatus consult of the 28 floréal year XII.
It is made up the 11 nivôse year VIII (January 1st, 1800), at the same time as the Tribunat.
It is dissolved on June 4th, 1814, and replaced under the Restauration by the House of Commons of the departments. During the Hundred Days will be instituted a Chambre of the representatives.
