The Legio VII Claudia Pia Fidelis ( devoted and honest ) was a Roman Légion consisted Jules César for the Guerre of Gaules in 58 av. J. - C.. It existed at least until the end of the 4th century. The emblem of this legion, like all those of César, was the bull and the lion.

The name of the legion was initially Legio VII Macedonica . The emperor Claude granted the nickname of " to him; Claudia Pía Fidelis" for honesty that she had testified to him at the time of a mutiny in Dalmatie in 42.

Legio VII was one of the two legions employed by Jules César during the invasion of the Brittany.

Thereafter, Legio VII Claudia was assigned to the guard of the middle price of the the Danube. In this function, it was a time confined with Viminacium, the capital of the higher Mésie.
