Papa Legba is a Lwa (spirit, divinity) of the Haitian Vaudou .

It corresponds to Elegba with Cuba, and Eshu with the Brésil.

It keeps the border between the world of human and the supernatural world. This is why one says it present at entered of the Temple S at the barriers and with the Carrefour S. It is thus brought closer to the Christian Saint Pierre, because of the Clé S of the Paradis which this last carries, but also of Lazare and Saint Antoine as an owner of the lost objects.

It is represented like a covered old man of a straw hat, smoking the pipe and holding a cane. Very coléreux, with Midnight, it becomes malfaisant.
