Legalism
Latin lex/legis , " loi" , and of the Suffix - ism , marking the Adhesion in a Substantive .
Spirituality
Eastern spirituality. Another name of the Légisme
Philosophy
Conviction that the law, good or bad, must be respected. This is by no means incompatible with a critical thought: the legalist thinks that a time to criticize and a time ago to accept the result, that it likes or not. To the extreme, a legalist can even make illegal actions, but it will not complain (in an official or semi-official way) if it is taken. Dura lex sed lex defines the thought legalist well.
The direction of the term has today however some limiting, insofar as, in Droit, the laws are on a level lower than the Constitution and the Bloc of conventionnality (Organic laws, international treaties, European directives) in the hierarchy of the legal standards.
