Leffe is Dining popular quarters of which could be regarded as an autonomous village inside the city insofar as concentrated there in first half of the twentieth century in particular of the textile factories.

It is there that is installed the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Leffe (order of Prémontrés) which gives its name to universally known beer, the “Leffe”. The Fonds of Leffe is also the name of the brook which below throws in the Meuse the abbey.
