Lee Strasberg

Lee Strasberg , of its true name Israel Strassberg , born the November 17th 1901 in Ukraine and dead the February 17th 1982 with New York with the the United States of a Heart attack, is a American Acteur which contributed has to make Actors Studio the school of Dramatic art most famous in the world.

He was the husband of the American Actrice Paula Strasberg and the father of the American Actrice Susan Strasberg and of John Strasberg as well as the Professor of Dramatic art of Marilyn Monroe during several years.

In 1951, it was named artistic director of the school of dramatic art American the Actors Studio, where it taught his art of the theater with Sidney Poitier, Dustin Hoffman, Robert De Niro or Marlon Brando. It directed the school until its death in 1982.

Inspired by the theories of Stanislavski, he thought that the actor was to create his character grace and through its emotional memory and its emotive resources.
