Leduc violet

Violet Leduc , born with Arras the April 7th 1907 and died with Falcon the May 28th 1972, is a French novelist .

Biography

Birth and formation

Of her true name Therese, Andree, Violette Leduc are the illegitimate girl of Berthe Leduc and Andre Debaralle, father whom she will not know. As of its childhood, it is marked by the shame of its birth. Violet makes its Valencian studies with the college of where it internal and is made there the knowledge of Isabelle with whom it has an impassioned relation of love. Some time afterwards, it is Denise Hertgès (Hermine in Bastard the ) who becomes her amante. In spite of its precocity, Violette Leduc is in prey with terrible disorders. Died of a woman

In 1968, it at the head publishes the Madness that Simone de Beauvoir strongly censured before, so much of the passages seemed to him emphatic and impudic. Violet has a Breast cancer and decides to settle definitively in Faucon in its renovated house. It continues to write in spite of the aggravation of the disease and dies at it the May 28th 1972 in the presence of a friend.

Simone de Beauvoir is named heiress of its literary rights and publishes its posthumous work, Hunting for the love , in 1973.
