Saute-mouton is a sporting Jeu of Enfant S which consists in jumping successively over all its ahead leaning partners. The players take turns in the following way: the first lean forwards by forming a line, and the last pass in turn above them, by posing the Main S on their Dos. Losque the last player upright jumped over the last but one, this one is raised and jumped in its turn over those which precede it, and so on. The number of players is not fixed.
Very practiced in the course of recreation of the school S since the end of the 19th century, this play since is gradually replaced by more sophisticated plays (Skipping rope, Marelle, balls…)
