Leader-writer
The leader-writer , formerly called billettist , is the person who writes the leading of a newspaper of Written press (Quotidien, Magazine, Revue, etc), or which expresses a comment in a broadcast newspaper or televised.
The leader-writer is generally a Journaliste pertaining to the drafting and which is charged to express its position. It can also be a question of a selected personality external for its capacities of analysis (university, writer, political analyst, etc). Its role is to clarify or put in prospect an event for topicality or a tendency, to even reflect the orientation (possibly the color Politique) of the newspaper. It can adopt a personal tone and be critical, unlike the other writers who must apply the principles of Neutralité and of Objectivité.
Its articles is often published in the very first pages of the publication. The topics which it develops can be then detailed in other articles.
The draftsmen of press, whose role is sometimes comparable, can be comparable with leader-writers.
