Notes on the French adaptation of film

The pronunciation of the name Aslan in the French adaptation as well as the French voice of the lion disappointed many fans. So a petition (survey) was launched by two important sites treating of Narnia (see Pétition).

Around film

It is not a question of the first adaptation of the novel. There was first of all The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe , series of ten 30 minutes episodes realized in 1967, followed Lion and the white witch , cartoon film realized by Bill Melendez in 1979 and finally, The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe , Anglo-Saxon telefilm of almost three hours realized by Marilyn Fox in 1988.
the actress Michelle Pfeiffer had seen herself offering the role of the White Queen but to decline the offer due to family obligations. She will have been only the star Hollywood to be contacted for a role.
