Lešnica

Lešnica , in Serb Cyrillic Лешница, is a locality of Serbia located in the municipality of Loznica, district of Mačva. In 2002, it counted: 4731 inhabitants.

Lešnica means " the city of the noisetiers". The locality has files going back to the 10th century, which does of it one of the oldest localities of Serbia. It was founded by the Serbes.

Lešnica, officially classified among the villages of Serbia, is located on the Drina, between the towns of Šabac and Loznica. The Jadar also crosses the village.
