León brother

Brother León , born Joseph Sylvestre Sauget the December 31st 1871 with Alpine laburnum in the the Jura and died in 1955, is free a Botaniste - cuban.

Studies

After secondary studies with Dijon, Sylvestre Sauget between at the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. It then leaves to teach a year with the Canada in 1904, with the college of Longueil, where it makes the meeting of the Frère Marie-Victorin.

Cuba

It leaves for Havana in 1905 and belonged to the team of founders of the community of Cuba, with Güines (in the Province of Matanzas).

He is the founder of the laboratory of botany and the Museum of natural history at the house of the Brothers of the Christian Schools of Havana.
