Poseur is a pejorative term to nominate a person seeking to be identified with a particular Subculture not because it adopted her values but because it seeks to obtain a certain social status. The word can mean, literally, “  somebody who takes poses  ”. In substance, a layer is a person who tries to be something which it is not, which ends up making it regard as “  fausse  ”.

Context " Punk"

In the subculture Punk of the Years 1980, the word layer was used in the " zines " punk movement social to nominate persons who, from the point of view of another member of the punk subculture, did not adopt the key values of the punk one.

The punk subculture has a great extent from political points of view, extreme left with the extreme right-hand side. Nevertheless, there are " values clés" what shares the majority of the members of the movements punks, amongst other things: the challenge with the capacity, the criticism of the established values, the classes to the capacity, the concept " DIY " (" C It Yourself" in English - or " Do it to you-même"), to eliminate the injustice, etc
