Laws of Nuremberg

The Lois of Nuremberg ( Nürnberger Gesetze in German) are laws anti-semites adopted with the Unanimité the September 15th 1935 at the time of the 7th Reichsparteitag ( annual convention of NSDAP ) with Nuremberg. These laws gave a legal base to the ideology anti-semite Nazi. The Jews were then excluded from the exercise of certain professions: liberal professions, teaching. The marriages known as mixed, between Germans of pure blood and Jews are then prohibited and of the sorrows are envisaged in these laws for any German contravening and thus contributing to the " abatardissement" Aryan race.

They included/understood:

  • a law of protection of German blood and German honor (" Blutschutzgesetz"),
  • the law of citizen of Reich (" Reichsbürgergesetz"),
  • the law of the flags of Reich (" Reichsflaggengesetz")

economic measures against the Jews (1938)

(July 25th) the installations of Jewish doctors must cease on September 30th, 1938

(November 12th) the hostile behavior towards the people of the German State of the Jews which do not move back in front of cowards assassinations requires energetic means of defense and a severe punishment a contribution of an amount of 1 billion Reichsmarks will be imposed on the whole of the Jews of German nationality on the profit of the German State

(November 18th) it is interdict with the Jews starting from January 1st, 1939 to deal of retail business, forwarding and business of transport, common purchasing agencies, as well as to exert the trade of independent craftsman |}
