Laws fascistissime

The laws fascistissime (very fascistic laws , in Italian: leggi fascistissime), is established between 1925 and 1926 and they create the fascistic mode, trasformant the Royaume of Italy in a totalitarian State following the assassination of the deputy Italy N Giacomo Matteotti and Sécession aventiniana.

They start with law N. 2263 of the December 24th 1925 which increases attributions and the prerogatives of the chief of the government whose name becomes the duce.

The December 31st 1925 the law on the press between in force which fixes that the newspapers cannot be directed, write and printed only if they have a person in charge accredited by the prefect, therefore by the government, all the others are considered illegal.

The law of the May 31st 1926, known as possibility of the Executive power of establishing legal laws, signing the dismissal of the Parliament and the beginning of the fascistic mode.

Lastly, the law of the April 3rd 1926 which prohibits the right to strike and establishes that only the Syndicat S " legally reconnus" , those fascistic (which hold practically the monopoly of the representation trade-union after the signature of the pact of the Vidoni Palate of the October 2nd 1925 between the Confindustria and the fascistic Corporations) can create collective agreements.

These laws are supplemented in 1928 of an amendment of the electoral laws which introduces a national list single of 400 candidates chosen in the Grand council of Fascism and submitted to the voters in block, the elections take the aspect of a Plébiscite.

In synthesis, these laws provide that:

  • the Parti national fascist is the single admitted party,
  • the chief known government must return of its action only near the king and either before the Parliament whose role was reduced to a simple representativeness,
  • the Grand council of Fascism, chaired by Mussolini is composed of notable truths of the mode and it is the supreme body of the fascistic party and gift of the State,
  • all associations of citizens is subjected to the control of the police force,
  • the only recognized trade unions are those fascistic, they prohibited in particular the strikes and the meetings,
  • the authorities named by the government replace the municipal authorities and provincial elected,
  • all the press is subjected to the censure.

Moreover, they set up:

  • containment for the antifascists;
  • the Special court for the safety of the State with competences for the offenses made against the safety of the state for which it is planned the capital punishment and a college of judges created by members of the militia and soldiers.
  • OVRA, the secret police;
