Lawrence Tibbett

Lawrence Tibbett is a Baryton and a American actor , born the November 16th 1896 with Bakersfield in California and dead the July 15th 1960 with New York.

Biography

It starts with a career of actor, in particular in the troop shakespearienne of Tyrone Power, Sr. After the war which it makes in the navy, it occurs as singer of attraction, then passes a hearing to the Metropolitan Opera in 1923. It takes him 3 years to reach the first roles. It ensures of many creations of American type-setters. It remains with the " Met" until its good-byes in 1950, but also made some European rounds.

Its voice of Baryton powerful and is extended, but it is before all its gifts of actor and its presence on scene which contributed to its success.
