Lawrence Lucie

Lawrence Lucie , born the December 18th 1907 with Emporia (Virginia), is a guitarist of American Jazz , having also played mainly of the Banjo, the Mandoline and the Violon.

He in particular played:

  • at the sides of Sidney Bechet in various formations led by this one,
  • at the sides of Henry Allen within his formation Henry “Red” Allen and his Orchestrated ,
  • at the sides of Jello Roll Morton, within her formation Jello Roll Morton and his New Orleans jazzmen
  • but also in recordings of the Harlem Blues And Jazz Band .
