Lawrence is a Ville Kansas with the the United States of America, chief town of the county Douglas, to 40 km in the west of Kansas City. It is crossed by the Rivière Kaw. Its Population is of 80.098 inhabitants (2000). It lodges the Université of Kansas and the Haskell University of the Indian Nations.
