Law on the heritage of the children
Under Old Mode principle from masculinity supported boys which inherited the goods of their parents (in theory the elder one inherited the title and the load if the father had one of them), the girls were excluded from this heritage. This principle of masculinity was abolished in the absence of will at the same time as the right of seniority, the February 25th 1790.
The heritage (goods, etc) were divided equitably between all the children, without reference of age or sex, except if the parents indicated them or their heirs in their marriage contract or Donation or will.
