Law of the full powerss

The law of March 24th, 1933 aiming to the relief of the distress of the people and the State ( of Gesetz zur Behebung der Not von Volk und Reich vom 24. März 1933 ), known as law of enabling ( of Ermächtigungsgesetz ) or law of the full powerss , is an adopted German law the March 24th 1933 and which gave to Adolf Hitler the statutory duty to control by decree, i.e. to promulgate Loi S without referring about it to the Reichstag.

The law of the full powerss was deposited the March 23rd with the Reichstag, of which the sessions were taken place then with the Opéra Kroll. The government coalition (NSDAP and DNVP) had a very vast majority with 63% of the voices, but it needed a majority of two thirds to modify the Constitution thus. The quorum was reached with the votes of the Zentrum, BVP and the small parts at a session, in the presence of SA, of S and Stahlhelm out of weapons, keeping all the exits and surrounding the building. Only the social democrat deputies voted against. The 81 deputies of KPD as 26 deputies SPD had been constrained to enter clandestinity or were interned.

The law was promulgated for one four years duration renewable. After the Reichstagsbrandverordnung , it was the second phase of the introduction of a totalitarian system, removing the Séparation of the capacities.
