Law 17 of football: kick of corner

With the Football, the laws of football is the name given to the rules of the game of football. They are decided on the level of the International Football Association Board (IFAB); the last version goes back to 2000.

The kick of corner (or corner ) is, in Football, one in the manners of taking again the play.

A goal can be marked directly on kick of corner, but only against the opposing team.

A kick of corner is granted when:

the balloon, touched in the last by a player of the defending team, entirely crossed the line of goal, that it is with ground or in the air, without a goal being marked in accordance with Law 10.

Execution

the balloon is placed in the arc of circle of the corner nearest where it left,

the flags of the corners cannot be removed,

the players of the opposing team must be held to at least 9,15 m of the arc of circle of corner until the balloon is concerned,

the balloon is boot by a player of the assailing team,

the balloon is concerned as soon as it is boot and moved,

the executant should not play the balloon one second time before this one was not touched by another player.

Infringement/Sanction

the kick of corner is carried out by a player of field:

If the balloon is concerned and that the executant touches the balloon (otherwise than with the hand) one second time before this one was not touched by another player:

a frankly indirect blow is granted to the opposing team which must be carried out at the place where the fault was made.

If the balloon is concerned and that the executant seizes the balloon of the hand deliberately before this one was not touched by another player:

a frankly direct blow is granted to the opposing team which must be carried out at the place where the fault was made.

a kick of repair is granted if the fault were made in the penalty area of the executant.

Kick of corner carried out by the goalkeeper:

If the balloon is concerned and that the goalkeeper touches (otherwise than hands) one second time the balloon before this one was not touched by another player:

a frankly indirect blow is granted to the opposing team which must be carried out at the place where the fault was made.

If the balloon is concerned and that the goalkeeper seizes the balloon of the hands deliberately before this one was not touched by another player:

a frankly direct blow is granted to the opposing team if the fault were made apart from the penalty area of the goalkeeper. This frankly direct blow must be carried out at the place where the fault was made.

a frankly indirect blow is granted to the opposing team if the fault were made in the penalty area of the goalkeeper. This frankly indirect blow must be carried out at the place where the fault was made. SRCP of law VIII

For any infringement with this law:

the kick of corner will be started again.
