Law 12 of football: faults and antisportif behavior
The article Law 12 of football: faults and antisportif behavior states the law 12 of football and presents various considerations relative to this law. Law 12 refers to the faults and the antisportif behavior.
With the Football, the laws of football is the name given to the rules of the game of football. They are decided on the level of the International Football Association Board (IFAB); the last version goes back to 2000.
The FIFA takes care has to sanction the faults and behaviors antisportifs in order to fight against the anti-play (players on the ground after a missed tâcle, for example) as follows:
Frankly direct blow
A frankly direct blow is granted to the opposing team of the player who opinion of the referee makes, by inadvertency, imprudence or excess of combativeness, one of the six following faults:-
to give or try to give a kick to the adversary
-
to make or try to make a trip with the adversary
-
to jump on an adversary
-
to charge an adversary
-
to strike or try to strike an adversary
-
to hustle an adversary.
A frankly direct blow is also granted to the opposing team of the player who makes one of four following faults:
-
tacler an adversary to seize the balloon by touching the adversary before playing the balloon
-
to hold an adversary
-
to spit on an adversary
-
to touch the balloon of the hands deliberately (except the goalkeeper in its prope penalty area)
Any frankly direct blow must be carried out at the place where the fault was made.
Kick of Repair (Penalty)
A kick of repair is granted when one of these ten faults is made by a player in his own penalty area, notwithstanding the place where the balloon at this time is, provided that it is concerned.
Frankly indirect blow
A frankly indirect blow is granted to the opposing team of the goalkeeper who, being in his own penalty area, makes one of the four following faults:-
to touch once again the balloon of the hands after having released it, without it not being touched by another player,
-
to touch the balloon of the hands on a master key bottée deliberately by a fellow-member,
-
to touch the balloon of the hands directly on a re-entry of key carried out by a fellow-member.
A frankly indirect blow is also granted to the opposing team of the player who, of the opinion of the referee:
-
plays in a dangerous way,
-
makes obstacle with the evolution of an adversary,
-
prevents the goalkeeper from releasing the balloon of the hands,
-
makes other faults not mentioned as a preliminary in the Law 12, for which the match is stopped in order to inform or to expel a player.
The frankly indirect blow must be carried out at the place where the infringement was made.
Disciplinary actions
It can be shown a yellow Carton or a red paperboard only with one player, a substitute or one replaced player. The referee will not present paperboard if it excludes a trainer.
Faults liable to warning
A player sees himself inflicting a warning (yellow paperboard) when it makes one of the seven following faults:-
it is made guilty of a antisportif behavior (examples: simulation, pulling of shirt, tacle irregular, hand),
-
it expresses its disapproval in words or acts,
-
it enfreint with persistence Laws of the Play,
-
it delays the resumption of the play.
-
it does not respect the necessary distance during the execution of a kick of corner or of a frank blow or a re-entry of key,
- it penetrates or returns on the playing field without the prior approval of the referee,
-
it deliberately leaves the playing field without the prior approval of the referee,
Faults liable to exclusion
A player is excluded from the playing field (red paperboard) when it makes one of the seven faults following:-
it makes guilty of a coarse fault
-
it is made guilty of an act of brutality
-
it spits on an adversary or any other person
-
it prevents an adversary from marking a goal, or destroys a manifest occasion of goal, by touching the balloon of the hand deliberately (this does not apply to the goalkeeper in its own penalty area)
- it destroys a manifest occasion of goal of an adversary moving towards its goal by making a fault liable to a frank blow or a penalty
-
it holds of the remarks or fact of the wounding, abusive and/or coarse gestures
-
it receives a second warning during the same match.
An excluded player must leave the proximity of the playing field as well as technical surface.
