Lavrec island
The island Lavrec is located at the east of the island of Bréhat in the Archipel of Bréhat.
It is known to have been the place of foundation of the first monastery, of which there remain currently only some ruins, of Armorican Brittany. It is the monk Budoc, come from Great Britain, which was the initiator at the 5th century. Budoc discovered on the island the ruins of a Gallo-Roman villa built in the first part of the 4th century (three Roman medals, a small bronze of Crispus, wire of Constantin I {{er}}, and two others of Constantin II were found there).
The island, whose surface is of approximately 10 ha, is uninhabited today. The brambles invaded it.
