Laverda 750 SFC

The 750 SFC is a model of Motocyclette, produced by the Italian mark Laverda.

Derived from the 750 SF (Super Freni), the 750 SFC (Super Freni Competizion) is a model supposed competition-customer to dope the sales of the SF.

It is launched on the market in 1972, but it starts to run in 1971, year when it gains all the races of endurance, except the Bol of gold. It finishes nevertheless second.

The engine is worked over again compared to the SF. The valves are larger, certain parts are polished. More than 500 parts would be different.

The cycle part is composed of a tubular framework on which the engine is suspended. The Ceriani fork ensures a correct work. Braking is ensured by drums doubles cam manufactured by Laverda. They will be replaced by of Ceriani in 1972. The last evolution of the SFC, called electronica, leaves in 1975. The drum brakes are replaced by three discs Brembo out of cast iron 280 mms in diameter, gripped by clamps simple piston in 1975. Rims with Laverda sticks replaces Borani with rays.

One notes the absence of speedometer. Only a rev counter equips the instrument panel. The rear view mirror is there only for the homologation and, like the indicators, it is easily dismountable to pass from the road to the circuit.
