Lavelanet

Lavelanet (occitan: Avelhanet ) is a common French, located in the department of the Ariège and the area the Midday-Pyrenees. Its inhabitants is called Lavelanetiens. Its name comes from Latin avellana: hazel nut. Famous in the past for its textile industries, the majority of them are closed today, mainly because of the importation of textiles coming from foreign countries.
