Lavaudieu is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Loire and the area Auvergne. It is classified among the most beautiful villages of France.
Geography
History
Robert saint, resulting from the chapter of Brioude, founds the Abbaye of Chair-God then a Prieuré of moniales, which in is dependant, with Saint-Andre-of-Comps.
The Abbaye of Lavaudieu is the Abbaye of Auvergne to have only kept its Romance Cloître . Its famous Christ Romance in polychrome Bois is preserved at the Louvre
